Welcome to Road Ready

Driving Futures Forward

Empowering Young People to Steer their Own Path

Road Ready is a community-based mentoring initiative supporting socially and economically disadvantaged young people aged 16 to 24 in Yarrabilba and Logan Village. Powered by 5FOLD, this initiative helps young people overcome key barriers to obtaining a driver’s license — including limited access to a vehicle, financial hardship, lack of supportive adults and geographic isolation.

Why Choose Us?

Located in Yarrabilba, a designated priority development area in the City of Logan, Road Ready responds to the urgent need for localised, inclusive support by delivering:

Safe Driving Education

Including lessons on the Fatal 5.

Hands-on Skills

Like changing a tyre, checking oil and water and basic vehicle maintenance.

1:1 Mentoring

Including goal setting and guidance from trusted local volunteers.

Community Collaboration

In working with schools, police and youth organisations to provide wraparound support.

Why It Matters

A driver’s license isn’t just about mobility — it’s a pathway to employment, independence and long-term safety on our roads. For many young people in Logan, these opportunities are out of reach. Road Ready is out to change that!

By equipping young people with the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to become safe drivers, Road Ready is building a more connected, empowered and resilient community — one learner at a time.

Built for Impact, Powered by Partnership

Road Ready is made possible by a growing network of local stakeholders, including schools, community organisations, funding partners and volunteers. Together, we are:

Reducing youth unemployment and transport disadvantage.

Supporting road safety and responsible driving culture.

Breaking generational cycles of disengagement.

Increasing youth participation in education, training and work.
